GROUND

SPIDER

Water-bound paths and roads can be maintained and repaired in an environmentally friendly way with our GROUND SPIDER maintenance machine.
Areas of application: Parks, forest, field and cycle paths as well as recreation centers.

Made in  Germany

ripping

When ripping or opening the water-bound layer, the machine runs completely on the up to 72 spring steel tines, which are distributed in three rows, in order to avoid a material jam.
Furthermore, the ripping process already legalises unevenness and possible washouts

Smoothing

In the smoothing process, the still loose layer is pressed down again. In this step, the height of the Hardox rails at the sides and rear can be adjusted to allow filling or minor repairs to be carried out by adding new material. The entire weight of the machine rests on the trowel. The roller is raised hydraulically.

Rolling

We have installed Farmflex rollers (rubber rollers) on all our machines.
These rollers are designed to statically compact the soil and are also used as running gear for transporting the machine. When rolling, but also when smoothing, it is possible to run a drag broom with the machine

GROUND SPIDER maintenance machine for water-bound paths

GROUND SPIDER maintenance machine for water-bound paths
There are many water-bound paths in towns and communities. They are particularly common in rural communities. Although these are generally of a simpler construction and are maintained differently from park paths, water-bound paths are a significant part of the overall path network and thus an essential part of the range of tasks for public works depots. The advantages of this type of path are primarily to be seen in the comparatively low construction costs and in good rainfall infiltration or a low runoff coefficient in relation to asphalt surfaces. However, this only applies with regular maintenance, because especially in sloping terrain, water erosion can lead to considerable damage and thus to impairments of use or even to safety risks. But even largely flat surfaces require regular maintenance. Depending on the intensity of use and existing damage, this can amount to maintenance intervals of between one and three years. The reality, however, is often different enough: Many a park or cycle path is not "touched" for six to eight years, the thin surface layer literally "runs away" into the side space due to use, the levelling layer is attacked or partly hard like concrete, and in a short time the path grows over with grass from the edges.
The causes of maintenance failure are as well-known as they are undoubted: costs, staff shortages and/or the lack of or unsuitable technology, e.g. for narrow paths in parks or cycle paths. Here, larger graders or tillers are usually not an alternative. Options such as a tractor with power harrow or the use of an excavator are also rarely considered.
This is exactly where LS Lingemann Systemgeräte steps in with the GROUND SPIDER maintenance machine.
In order to keep narrower paths in shape, the LS-Spider is available with working widths of 1.25 + 1.45 + 1.6 m, the dead weight is between 470 and 720 kg depending on the working width and roller type. All machines require a double-acting oil connection and are hitched to the towing vehicle with a ball head coupling or towing eye. The principle of this soil cultivation machine is to ripping up / loosen the soil, in the second step to compact it and finally to roll it again.

The hardened top layer is first loosened with spring steel tines (adjustable in height) arranged in three rows. This makes it possible to level with the existing material.
After loosening, the material is compacted by moving it down with the trowel. As a final step, static compaction of the surface can be carried out with the steel roller alternative with a farmflex roller, if required.
Both the trowel and the roller are hydraulically adjusted. The base frame is equipped with height-adjustable side walls as well as an inner ball bar made of Hardox material.
